I was born in Ecuador and at age 16 my family moved to the US where I attended Newfield High School. My high school years were rather easy after learning English, in just 6 months I was able to learn it and passed my regents exams (NY education requirement). Applying to college wasn’t an easy task but with my family’s help and school counselors I managed to figure out what my future would be like. I attended State University of New York at Oswego. I majored in Spanish and minored in Italian, with French courses. While in college I learned Italian in 3 months and decided to go abroad. Italy was my first overseas experience after the US and I loved it. Later I met Nicolas today my fiancé (he’s French) and thanks to him I discovered the beauty of the world; we’ve traveled a lot together. I did some studies in France at Paris La Sorbonne. I must say that before I did not see the value of speaking other languages, but today I believe…that it’s a plus (my languages are Spanish, English, French and Italian). Now I live in France with my fiancé and I enjoy the French culture. Europe in general is rich in history and its diverse culture gives it a unique value. I’m convinced that my life overseas allows me to see the world with different eyes, I want to learn more and I invite you to do the same.
